Eric Simonson is an American playwright and theatre director. A member of Chicago’s famous Steppenwolf Theatre, he won an Academy Award in 2005 for his documentary A Note of Triumph. His works for stage include Bang the Drum Slowly, Bronx Bombers, Carter's Way, Fake, Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse-Five, Lombardi, Louder Faster, Magic/Bird, Moby Dick, Speak American and Work Song: Three Views of Frank Lloyd Wright.
