Born in Los Angeles, but raised in Brazil, South Africa and Beverly Hills, Baitz has been nominated for the Drama Desk Awards, the Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize. His plays include The Substance of Fire, A Fair Country, Ten Unknowns, Mizlansky/Zilinsky, Three Hotels and The Paris Letter. Baitz created the ABC Drama Brothers and Sisters, and he has written for The West Wing and The Slap.
